According to legend, in 1452, two sailors were rescued from the storm on a small cliff, where they found an icon of the Virgin. Then it was decided to erect a church on the site, the construction of which, it took 200 years. The walls and ceiling of the church are covered with paintings on canvas Tripo Kokol. The walls are hung with silver amulet in the shape of the relief ships. These amulets were given the church sailors returning from a voyage.
